  • Fall - Grade 8 Open House

  • January - transfer forms due to the current school

  • February  - course selection deadline

  • late February / early March - registration appointments for non-YRDSB students

A supportive environment


Our caring and dedicated staff are here to support student achievement and well-being. Learn more about the dedicated supports offered through:

  • snack and breakfast programs
  • Guidance department offers educational, career and personal counselling
  • Student Success support for students struggling with school for a variety of reasons, including academic and social/emotional concerns. We offer individual support and guidance with teacher and child & youth worker; on-going monitoring and tracking; use of the Ravens’ Roost as an alternative place to work; credit rescue and credit recovery
  • Student Services support for students identified with an exceptionality who have an Individual Education Plan (IEP)
  • Programs for multi-language learners

 

Transitioning to Secondary School


We are here to support students in their transition to Grade 9 and throughout their high school years. We take extra care to ensure Grade 9 students feel welcomed, prepared and supported. 

This includes:

  • Grade 8 transition supports, including visits to feeder schools and open houses
  • welcome and orientation activities
  • academic and well-being supports
